The DuraScan G5 and our accredited calibration laboratory are among the very best again!
As an accredited calibration laboratory, we are subject to the strict requirements of standard EN ISO/IEC 17025, which helps to ensure the quality of test and calibration results. These requirements also include participation in comparative testing between laboratories and in suitability tests.
Following successful participation in the suitability test "Rockwell hardness test HRC DIN EN ISO 6508-1", organised by the Institut für Eignungsprüfung GmbH (Institute for Proficiency Tests) 2014/15, in Marl, Germany, our accredited EMCO TEST calibration laboratory has recently been able to once again demonstrate the high quality of its daily work and its measuring equipment:
In the suitability test "Vickers hardness test HV 1 DIN EN ISO 6507-1", also conducted by the Institute of Proficiency Tests in 2015/16, the EMCO TEST calibration laboratory succeeded in taking one of the top 5 places among the participating laboratories!
87 laboratories from 23 countries took part in this suitability test and submitted their measurement results.
The following assignment had to be completed as part of this suitability test:
- The participating laboratories each received one certified test block with a hardness level of approx. 700 HV 1, as specified by the Materials Testing Institute of North Rhine-Westphalia (MPA NRW);
- Five HV 1 measurements were performed in this certified test block;
- In addition, the limit deviation and repeatability were determined.
Naturally, all of this was undertaken anonymously and without knowing the reference value of the test block.
The excellent results of our accredited calibration laboratory not only confirm our capability in the field of calibration, they also demonstrate the high precision of measurements made by our EMCO TEST DuraScan G5 laboratory hardness tester, newly introduced worldwide in 2016.
